Dear Friends of St. Peregrine,

We ask you to pray for intercession of St. Peregrine on behalf of our daughter, Alissa, who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, following a car accident.  Our prayer is for her miraculous cure of cancer.

Alissa is 26 and a childhood cancer survivor as when she was seven, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, which impacted her physically and emotionally as she grew up in a variety of ways, including severe hearing loss.  Alissa overcame the pains of being different and was determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a school teacher for young children, especially children with special needs.

Alissa teaches kindergarten in an inner-city school with the Rochester City school district.  Not only does she teach each child that comes into her classroom, she loves them and ministers to them through her faith.  She feeds them when they are hungry, she gives them mittens to keep their hands warm, she shows them kindness and compassion by giving them books to read at home and teddy bears to hug at night.  Alissa has always had a very deep faith, knowing that she has been blessed many times following her first battle with cancer.  She has a strong desire to care for children in need.  

We thank God and give praise for all the blessings our family has received.  And believe that the car accident happened to make us aware of Alissa’s cancer.    

We believe deeply in the power of prayer and in Divine intercession.  I pray that through the intercession of St. Peregrine and our Blessed Mother Mary, Alissa is miraculously cured of this cancer, so that she can continue to faithfully serve our Lord by ministering to young and needy children and their families for a very long and healthy lifetime here on earth.  I come before you Lord Jesus acknowledging my own sinfulness with sorrow.  I ask you Lord Jesus, in thy mercy please hear and answer my petitions of prayer for miraculously curing Alissa of brain cancer.  Amen

I am thankful for your ministry as you have helped a lot. I ask a big favor that you include my brother, Oscar, in your prayers as he was recently diagnosed with duodenal adenocarcinoma. Since he lives in Toronto, it is hard for him to attend any of your healing masses. Can you please include him in your prayers?
