Prayer Intentions

Dear Friends of St. Peregrine,
We ask you to pray for intercession of St. Peregrine on behalf of our daughter, Alissa, who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, following a car accident.  Our prayer is for her miraculous cure of cancer.

Alissa is 26, and a childhood cancer survivor as when she was seven, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, which impacted her physically and emotionally as she grew up in a variety of ways, including severe hearing loss.  Alissa overcame the pains of being different and was determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a school teacher for young children, especially children with special needs.

Alissa teaches kindergarten in an inner-city school with the Rochester City school district.  Not only does she teach each child that comes into her classroom, she loves them and ministers to them through her faith.  She feeds them when they are hungry, she gives them mittens to keep their hands warm, she shows them kindness and compassion by giving them books to read at home and teddy bears to hug at night.  Alissa has always had a very deep faith, knowing that she has been blessed many times following her first battle with cancer.  She has a strong desire to care for children in need.

We thank God and give praise for all the blessings our family has received.  And believe that the car accident happened to make us aware of Alissa’s cancer. We believe deeply in the power of prayer and in Divine intercession.  I pray that through the intercession of St. Peregrine and our Blessed Mother Mary, Alissa is miraculously cured of this cancer, so that she can continue to faithfully serve our Lord by ministering to young and needy children and their families for a very long and healthy lifetime here on earth.  I come before you Lord Jesus acknowledging my own sinfulness with sorrow.

I ask you Lord Jesus, in thy mercy please hear and answer my petitions of prayer for miraculously curing Alissa of brain cancer.  Amen.

In Loving Faith and Devotion,
Rosanne & John

Hello Friends of St. Peregrine,
I just wanted to write to thank you for your beautiful ministry.  My son and I attended the Mass you offered at Good Shepherd on Wednesday, as well as the one offered there last year.

It is such a truly prayerful, reverent, kind and compassionate service, solidly set in the Sacraments of the Church.  Fr. David's presence, homilies, prayer and manner are a gift for the ailing and anyone who is blessed to know him.  But so are all of you.  You go out of your way to make everyone feel welcome, cared for and prayed for.  Your love for St. Peregrine, for the Church and especially for Jesus shines through.

I have a form of epilepsy which can at times be very difficult to live with.  It is not cancer and it is not terminal, but it can get heavy at times.  Both times you came to Good Shepherd (in our neighborhood) I really needed some "extra grace" to carry this wee cross.  God knows how little and weak I am and sent you all to help me.  Both times now I have experienced a lifting of the heaviness, as well as some of the symptoms of this disease.  I cannot thank you enough.

This year my son was just diagnosed with asthma.  Another wee cross, but for a 14-year-old a bit heavy.  I invited him to come with me and he did.  He was very glad to receive a whole new Sacrament and be prayed over.  He goes to a school where he is very blessed to learn a lot of theology and Church history, but there is nothing like the experience of the touch of Christ.

You all are in my prayers as you continue to minister to the suffering of WNY. Please pray for our family. Thank you, thank you very much.

God bless you,
Pendleton, NY

Good Morning! I am deeply sad for the health condition of my mother who has sever pneumonia and stroke. She has always been a believer and we keep praying for her. She lives in Panama City, Panama and her name is Luz Reyes de Ortiz. Please pray for her!

Hi, my name is Catherine. I am from Motherwell, Scotland, I am suffering from stage 4 breast cancer.  Please pray for me through the intercession of Saint Peregrine for a healing of cancer. Thank you.

We attended the Friends of St. Peregrine Healing Mass at Immaculate Conception last night.  Please pray for Gary Voigt. Thank you.

I am thankful for your ministry as you have helped a lot. I ask a big favor that you include my brother, Oscar, in your prayers as he was recently diagnosed with duodenal adenocarcinoma. Since he lives in Toronto, it is hard for him to attend any of your healing masses. Can you please include him in your prayers?

Thank you so much and may God continue to bless your ministry. St. Peregrine pray for those who invoke your aid, Amen
